Goodman Cares, Inc. is a non-profit organization determined to help support Lyme disease research and development. To achieve the best results, Goodman Cares, Inc. has teamed up with the Johns Hopkins Lyme Disease Clinical Research Center in Baltimore, MD.
Lyme disease was diagnosed as a new condition for the first time in 1975, and although there have been minor breakthroughs, still very little is uncovered about the incurable disease and its potential long-term effects. Varying symptoms, along with differing approaches to treatment, make the perplexing disease a priority in the medical community. Johns Hopkins University recently expanded its Lyme Disease Research Center to continue exploration and analysis.
Goodman Cares, Inc. was founded in 2016, by Andrew Goodman, the owner and broker of Goodman, Realtors, a boutique residential real estate firm servicing MD, DC , & VA. Mr. Goodman has a personal attachment to the disease after being diagnosed in 2003. He has experienced the interval yet ongoing discomfort and hardship that Lyme delivers and is passionate about encouraging patients and the medical community to continue its efforts toward a cure.
